Tommy the Turtle

tommy the turtle lived in a far away land

no women no children no air no sand

when he went for food he fell in a hole

and down went tommy turtle, forever alone

to his surprise he fell into a hole with light

the pureness of energy got rid of his fright

he tumbled forward and drifted away

and tommy the turtle felt a-ok

eventually the ground raced up to his face

he winced but was surprised when he felt no pain

now laying in a field that was so far away

tommy the turtle didn’t know what to say

two thousand five hundred sixty-seven three

eight forty six thousand five hundred, see

the grass smelt so good on tommy’s nose

he wondered if heaven had come so close

though at this moment the old man appeared

and told tommy the turtle ‘it will all be revealed’

two seconds later and he flew once again

tommy the turtle heard some beautiful violin

playing a symphony was the worlds way to say

you’ll travel safely, you’ll soon be okay

hazy he awoke in a mystical daze

was all this just dreamt and metaphorically made

to his joy his mother crawled over and said

tommy the turtle, the world is in your head
